Snorkelling

Heading to Vanuatu in Sep/Oct and would really like to know where best snorkelling spots are - this will determine which islands we spend most time on.

I don't think you will have any trouble finding great snorkeling spots in vanuatu.
We have stayed at Santo and Efate and both places have fantastic snorkeling.

Places around Lonnoc Beach on Santo might just be as good as any.
But as noted above, they are just a few of many possiblities.
Note that marine life is richer in northern Vanuatu than down south around (slightly cooler) Tanna though.

We saw great snorkelling all the way around Efate. Especially at hideaway Island and Iriki Island. There was a great snorkelling spot at Port Resolution(Tanna) as well, but it could get a bit rough. I was told by some travellers I spent some time with that the best snorkelling was over near White grass on Tanna. They saw huge Turtles and 3 metre sharks.
