Surfing vanuatu

I will be staying at Breaks beach resort near Port Villa and at White Grass Resort in Tanna in July. I hear that there is a surf break out the front of Breakas. Does anybody have any good info about surfing in Vanuatu? I am an intermediate level bodyboarder. Any info would be great. I have looked around the web but there is not much to be found.

When we were in Vanuatu a few years ago, we saw a very small break not far from Le Lagon resort - I'm not sure where that is in relation to Breakas..? We kept our eyes on it, but it wasn't really surfable when we were there. It had some potential though. A friend who used to live in Port Vila (and who surfed) said there was more consistent and better surf off the northern islands, but it was also known to be very sharky.

Pango Point around 3Km from Breakas gives a good ride over rocks in the right swell. Taxis from Breakas can get you there.
