swimming and snorkel in august

hi to all,

next august I plan to visit vanuatu for 15 -20 days. My question is how cold is the sea in this period. It's possible to snorkel and swim?? in which island is warmer??? in the north?? but how is the weather???

thanks for your replies. I went in solomon island in august 2003 and the sea temperature was perfect (not the weather at all); I have to expect the same conditions or not

The water temperature is warm enough to swim in. Ive been a number of times on PI holidays that time of year and NEVER seen anyone in a wet suit.
