The Melanesian vs Pacific Lagoon apartments

I'm currently tossing between The Melanesian and Pacific Lagoons. Have anybody stayed at either of these places?

The Melanesian seems to have more facilities and closer to town, but the Pacific Lagoon is said to be situated in the Erakor lagoon. Can anybody give me some opinion?

The Melanesian is 1km from town vs 5km for the Pacific Lagoon. The latter is near both the Parkroyal and Erakor Resort. The Melanesian has "gaming facilities" and lots of conferences, and is, by the way, I believe for sale.

If it were me , Id opt for the Pacific Lagoon - much nicer position, newer and still only 5-10 mins from central Vila, which is a sleepy town anyway- charming but not a metroplolis by any means.
