Hi there TTers, Has anyone recently used a Vanuatu Air Pass to island hop around Vanuatu? It seems the last post on the forum about it is from 2007, and they were no longer available then. However, they are currently being advertised online. I'm heading to Vanuatu for 2-3 weeks in November, and am keen to get to Tanna and Santo from Efate. The Air Pass looks like an economical choice. Cheers!.
I tried looking into this before I went to Vanuatu (from NZ) in June. The conclusion I came to was that they no longer exist and the website advertising them (I found one too) is just out of date. We ended up buying normal fares, but you do get 20% off if your international flight is also with Air Vanuatu - just email them with the internal flights you want to book and the details of your international flight and they'll book it for you with the discount. | 1
Yes, I agree. An Air Vanuatu pass is an economical way to travel across several islands, and we did so earlier this year. This is a beautiful country with friendly people, and we found the airline and in-flight service professionally operated. The only problem has been trying to get a refund for the flight, which Air Vanuatu cancelled from Port Vila to Ulei. After more than 4 months and many attempts to communicate with Air Vanuatu about this matter, we are still trying to get even an acknowledgement of our application for a refund! | 2
