Visiting Yaohnanen (Tanna)

Country forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Vanuatu

Does anyone have specific current advice about visiting Yaohnanen to see the "Prince Philip House" and is there still anything to see after the death of Chief Jack Naiva? Can't seem to find anything current on any forums. Andrew.

I've just sent you a private message :)

For anyone else who's interested, Yaohnanen is a very friendly village, there's shrine to Jack Naiva, a house where they keep many Philip related things. They have a kastom school where they educated their children in the languages of Tanna and the stories involved.

Well worth going to see as is Yakel which is very close
